She was just a small town girl searching for her city boy. Priya and Abhi’s love story goes back to the days of MySpace. YES MySpace! They connected as friends and through the years found they had so many friends in common. In between the flights back and forth from Boston to North Carolina and vice versa – a friendship turned into loveship (We know that is not a word!)
Priya and Abhi got married at the Sheraton in Downtown Raleigh. Their week long affair of 1,000 had guests from all over the States, London, India, Africa, and Asia. The hotel was truly taken over by all the wedding guests so the energy in the hotel was incredible. People were partying all day and all over the hotel. The bride and groom even organized a hospitality room that would have snacks, tea, coffee and liquor on tap 24/7. Talk about service!
The wedding night kicked off with a royal Sangeet full of deep rich blue hues and magenta pinks. The groom, Abhi had been on a bhangra team and had various dance performances from his groomsmen + all fellow team members from his Bhangra team.
Priya embodies the style of grace and class. So you know the wedding day would not be anything short of fancy-ness! The mandap was a beautiful cage decorated with floral and gold colors – such fine level detail of work. THEY EVEN HAD A LIVE PAINTER AT THE CEREMONY! Yes, that deserved all the capital letters. The painter captured the ceremony and presented a beautiful piece of work. The vidai car was a classic 1920’s vehicle as the couple drove off into the sunset. Priya’s and Abhi’s reception had a customized dance floor, performances, beautiful speeches and many, many cocktails. The level of attention on the smallest details as customized napkins, 10ft picture frame signs, attention to all the guests was above the top and went above and beyond.
